How Hyemin started art?

Hyemin has been on a long journey called ‘Art’. Fun, happiness and endless anxiety. When she won the first prize in primary school, it hooked her into this creative life. She used to feel happy and proud of herself. This feeling would be forgotten while learning art deeper in schools. Why did teachers have to say “She couldn’t be as good as talented artists in the world.”, “Be realistic.”. Despite living in the uninspiring environment, she didn’t want to end this art journey.

Hyemin moved to Australia with a working holiday visa from South Korea in 2018. The new culture inspired her to begin an art brand named after her name herself ‘hyemina’. It is known as a friendly way to call somone ‘her/his first name’ + ‘ah’.

Hyemin had her first studio nook filled with a small amount of equipment. This place allowed her to pursue her childhood dream.
